Low Slope Shingle Roof

Here is a detailed video by Eric Garcia a well known roofing YouTuber in Southern California.

Preparation: You may have a low slope roof and think that you have to go with a torch down type (Modified Bitumen), PVC or TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin).  Many times you can still use shingles but you must not be less than a 2/12 pitch or 9.46 degrees of slope. The right combination roof products will do the job.

Benefits:

  1. Less expensive. When compared to low slope rolled products shingle roofs are less expensive per per square for bother materials and labor.
  2. Nicer look. Composite shingle roofs look much nicer.
  3. More Colors. You can pick from much larger color palette.
  4. Last longer. In most cases 30 years. Most low slope roofing materials give you a 20 year warranty. Not sot with shingle roofing.

The Shingle: Roof shingles come in many colors and will not only endure the weather elements year round but add curb appeal of your home.
